Libration Accessibility next to other solutions

Anyone looking for an accessibility solution finds offers between zero and several thousand euros a year. This page shows what the providers state on their own websites – with a source for every figure, including where others are stronger than we are.

Overview

Three ways to approach the topic

  • Script from the provider

One line of code loads a widget from the provider’s servers. It changes how the page is displayed in the browser. The source code of your website stays as it is. Works with any system.

  • Platform with consulting

Audits, monitoring, training and often manual tests by specialists, usually together with a widget. Aimed at large organisations; prices are generally on request.

  • Plugin in your WordPress

Runs on your server and fixes the source code that WordPress delivers. This is our approach. The limit: it requires WordPress.

Third-party assessments

What regulators and associations say about widgets

  • „Aktuell sind Overlay-Tools nicht in der Lage, einen Webauftritt, der Barrieren aufweist, vollständig barrierefrei darzustellen.“

At present, overlay tools are not able to present a website that has barriers in a fully accessible way.

Joint assessment by the monitoring bodies of the German federal government and the federal states, as of March 2025 · bfit-bund.de

  • “Overlays do not make the website accessible or compliant with European accessibility legislation.”

European Disability Forum and IAAP, 17 May 2023 · edf-feph.org

  • In 2025 the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) required the provider accessiBe to pay 1 million dollars. The allegation: misleading claims that the widget could make websites compliant.

    Federal Trade Commission, January 2025 · ftc.gov

This applies to our own widget too. It is an aid for visitors, not a replacement for fixes. That is why Libration Accessibility fixes the source code first – and even that does not make a website legally compliant by itself.

To be honest

When we are a good fit – and when we are not

Libration Accessibility fits if …

  • your website runs on WordPress,
  • you want fixes in the source code and not just a widget,
  • you need an audit report and an accessibility statement as evidence,
  • you want to be able to cancel monthly,
  • the data should stay on your server.

Another provider fits better if …

  • your website does not run on WordPress – then only a script or a platform is an option,
  • you need manual tests by specialists, training or an expert report,
  • a free plugin for individual fixes is enough for you, such as WP Accessibility.

Our service

“With us, you talk directly to the developer.”

Where the information comes from

All prices and contract terms come from the providers’ websites and from the WordPress.org plugin directory. Retrieved on 6 October 2026. Prices change; the provider’s own page is always authoritative. We have not converted prices in dollars. We have not tested any of the solutions ourselves; we report what the providers state. Is something no longer correct? Write to us and we will correct it.
